Activity 2: GIS and GIS-Applications - Projects

National Atlas Germany (2000 - 2004)


Client:  Leibniz-Institut für Länderkunde (IfL) (Leipzig)
Partner:  Institute for Spatial Planning at University of Dortmund (IRPUD) (Dortmund)

As contributions to Volume 9 „Communication and Transport“ of the National Atlas of Germany, two articles were published in 2000 on the trans-European Transport Networks and on accessibility and regional development in Germany based upon the IRPUD and RRG GIS Database. In 2004, another contribution to Volume 11 “Germany in the World” on the European dimension of transport will be prepared.
