New project: TRACECA IDEA (2009-2012)

The new project called "Transport Dialogue and Interoperability between the EU and its Neighbouring Countries and Central Asian Countries (TRACECA IDEA)", funded by the European Commission, GD EuropeAid, aims at developing a sustainable, efficient and integrated multi-modal cross-border transport system, connecting the up-to-date fragmented individual transport networks.
RRG is responsible for the further development and improvement and update of the TRACECA GIS Database, contributes to the evaluation of infrastructure projects and conducts training courses and on-the-job training for transport experts from the TRACECA countries in the fields of GIS, databases and traffic modelling.
Project coordinator is TRT Trasporti e Territorio (Mailano, Italy), further project partner from Germany are Alfen Consult, Dornier Consulting and PTV.
