New publication on Baltic Sea Region

The Federal Institute for Research on Building, Urban Affairs and Spatial Development (BBR) recently published in its series Informationen zur Raumentwicklung (vol 8/7.2009) a new volume on spatial planning and spatial development in the Baltic Sea Region. The publication covers a wide range of topics, including but not limited to economic development, cities and metropolitan areas, knowledge networks and cooperation, planning systems and spatial visions for future developments. Carsten Schürmann, together with Alexandre Dubois (Nordregio, Sweden) contributed an article on transport and accessibility, its structures and perpectives. The publication can be ordered from the Federal Institute for Research on Building, Urban Affairs and Spatial Development (BBR).
