Final presentation on Renewable Energy Sector in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern

03/03/2015

Together with Lutz Laschewski and Pawel Warszycki (HIE-RO, University of Rostock), Carsten Schürmann presented the final results of a study on renewable energy sector in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern to the Socialist Parliamentary Party in Schwerin. The focus of the study was less on energy production, but rather focused on the workplace and value-added effects of the sector as a whole, from the planning, construction and operation to the demolition and repowering of the plants. The study has shown that the renewable energy sector in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern already has an equally high importance in the country such as the food and feed industry.
