Main objective of this project is the compilation of an Atlas of the Industrialisation of the New German Länder (NBL) including Berlin since the unification of the two German states, as input to public discussions about the development, success and effects of the political measures implemented until today.
Beginning with the last years of the German Democratic Republic, the development in the industrial sector shall be illustrated until today, examplified with case studies by using \'stories\' and illustrative graphics, charts and maps.
RRG is responsible partner for the conceptual selection of appropriate indicators and focus stories, and will generate all graphics and maps. Moreover, RRG is also contributing to data review and data processing within a GIS environment.
