Activity 1: Spatial Planning and Spatial Research - Projects

AlpenCors (2004 - 2005)

Partner:  S&W Urban and Regional Research (S&W) (Dortmund)

AlpenCors is a multi-sectoral and inter-regional bottom-up development project of economy and transport matters focused on the central segment of the Paneuropean Corridor V between France, Italy and Slovenia-Austria south of the Alps. It is being conducted within the Interreg IIIB Programme "Alpine Space". AlpenCoprS is at contributing to the development of a Corridor policy concept as a common strategy of economic and space development for this part of the European territory. To achieve this objective, the project is structured into five sectoral work packages: Economics, Transport, Technology, Logistics and Territory. Moreover, three additional work packages address specific issues of parts of the Corridor: interaction with the Brenner Corridor, the railway Trieste-Ljubljana and the new transalpine links.
